Tuesday 9/27/11

Hi! Tomorrow is our Chapter 2 test in Math for rounding!!!!!!!!!! Please make sure your child gets some extra practice with rounding. Maybe.... working together to complete their math homework below will give them that extra support they might still need. Or simply giving them numbers in the thousands and asking them to round to the nearest thousand, hundreds, or tens. Or click here for a link to some rounding practice!!!!

Weekend Homework!!!!! 9/23/11

In class we just finished reading the chapter book Horrible Harry Moves Up to 3rd Grade! The students loved the book! This is a great time for your child to complete a book report. We read the book together, all students have to do is complete the book report form to go towards their number of books read on their report card!

Horrible Harry: Illustrate cover for book summary and write about what was your favorite part!

Hi!

Today we conducted a Science lab to help us learn about rocks. We made our own ROCKS!!!!!! The students did awesome and really enjoyed the lab.

Monday Homework 9/19/11

This week is a differentiated list for Spelling. Make sure you child works on their Spelling words every night.

Also, I am asking if you can please purchase safety goggles or safety glasses for your child. You can purchased these a stores like K-Mart and Home Depot. These will be their personal Science Lab glasses to make sure their eyes are protected at all times. We will be doing lots of lab and safety is always first!

Tuesday Homework 9/6/11

Today was our 1st day of Chicago Run. Third grade was selected to take part of the Chicago Run Program. We will be running on Tuesdays and Thursdays to encourage great fitness health!This means students can come dress in Gym uniform on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday!
