Winter Break!

We had an awesome day today! We took all our test in the morning and then started the holiday festivities!!! We made a reindeer ornament, sang holiday songs, ate pizza, lots of treats, and watch our video for our winter assembly! The video is upload on the school website! Check us out!


Homework:

Your child has been learning a lot in class in preparation for the ISAT tests coming up at the end of February.  To help your child maintain what has been taught already over the 3-week break, we have compiled a homework packet that reinforces skills and strategies learned in class.

In addition your child is required to read and complete 2 book reports. It’s so important that your child READS, READS, and READS! I have placed two leveled books in a zip block bag. Every book is at your child’s level so they will be able to read the text. Please have your child complete the required reading and book reports by Monday, January 9^th, 2012.

Hi! The students did AWESOME in today's performance!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you to all the parents/family who made it out and supported your child. They were so happy and excited to show you their new moves. ONE MORE DAY LEFT BEFORE BREAK!!!! YAY!

Math: pg 132 #1-20 we have our test tomorrow on subtraction!

Spelling: study words for test tomorrow

Friday Folder: please sign test and return these by tomorrow

Holiday Party: I will be purchasing pizza for the kids tomorrow. I am requesting that students bring in their drink of choice to have with the pizza. Also, if you would like to send treats you can, but please make sure there is enough for all 22 student

Wednesday 12/14/11

Hi! Today we worked on ISAT prep and tips for good test taking skills. We also had our last practice for our winter assembly tomorrow (scroll down for more information).

Read: 20 min of Cam Jansen Chapter 6 pg 35-41 and questions

Phonics: pg 81-82

Math: Workbook pg 33-34

Spelling: Finish "You Pick Three"

Dress: Come dressed for the show!!!!!!

Winter Assembly on Thursday 12/15/11

Hi! Our class will be performing in the Winter Assembly this Thursday! There will be 2 shows 9:30am and a 1:00pm. We hope you can make it!!!!!!

Students need to wear: Jeans for bottoms (Jean or balck skirt with tights for girls is okay too) and top should be a nice Red OR Green shirt.

Hi! Today we worked on regrouping and subtracting greater numbers. Also, this week in reading we are working on reading Cam Jansen Snowy Days. You child will have homework on this every night.
