Wednesday 1/25/12

Hi! Today in reading we worked on learning how to use the index, glossary, table of contents, and fun facts to learn more about a topic. In math we worked on quadrilaterals! In writing we are learning the difference between a narrative and essay writing!

Homework:
Spelling: make sure all You Pick Three is done and study words for test tomorrow

Math: WB 105

Writing: Record conversations you overhear in your family. Record a conversation in which one person claims a big idea and then supports that idea with reasons. You’ll need to prompt people to talk in this way. If you know your father worries about the president’s decision, ask him what his reasons are. Collect several overheard essays!

Reading: 20  min log and finish centers from the week (most students finish their center work ib class throughout the week )

Phonics Center: pg 97-100

Math Center: Time center start and finish (4 different times on conctrustion paper)
